Marvel has a vast array of strong heroes, but what are the strongest ones? Here is my take on the strongest Marvel characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

5. Black Panther

Starting us off today is the Black Panther, whose real name is T’challa. He is the main protagonist of Black Panther (film) and has technically become an Avenger. He stars in Captain America: Civil War, as well as both Infinity War and Endgame. He also appears (animated) in the second episode of Marvel’s “What If…” TV Series.

T’Challa lives in the civilization of Wakanda in Africa, a highly advanced country that is heavily protected. In the first film, Black Panther’s father is killed by an explosion. Devastated and hurt, he looks to avenge his father by finding out who set off the bomb. Bucky Barnes, a.k.a the “Winter Soldier,” is seen setting off the bomb, and T’Challa is furious. However, he later learns that the villain scientist Helmut Zemo was behind the explosion and had framed Bucky.

Black Panther’s suit is made from Vibranium, the rarest and strongest metal on Earth (found in Wakanda). The suit is bulletproof and has retractable claws. In the original movie, it is shown that his new suit made by his sister is carried in a necklace. When he puts it on, he transforms into the Black Panther.

4. Spider Man

Next up we have the friendly neighborhood Spider Man. Peter Parker is a teenage boy who was bitten by a radioactive spider that gave him spider-like superpowers. He has defeated many evil beings and was good friends with Tony Stark.

Iron Man made him a new suit called The Iron Spider, which first appeared in Infinity War.

He disappeared in Infinity War when Thanos erased half the universe’s population, which was sad for the Mavel fanbase to see. The famous web-slinging superhero has been played by two actors in the original six films: Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland.

3. Baby Groot

It’s impossible not to love Baby Groot. He is one of the most, if not the most, adorable and lovable character in the MCU. He is the offspring of Groot, who was killed in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Baby Groot is taken care of by Rocket and the rest of the Guardians.

Baby Groot has the power to extend all his body parts and protect others (not to mention cutely saying “I am Groot!” all the time). He appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 and 2. He also makes appearances is other Avenger Movies.

2. Loki

Although Loki is not portrayed as a hero (and technically isn’t one), he is one of my favorite Marvel characters. Loki is the God of Mischief and Trickery, and is the adoptive son of Odin, the all-father.

When he found out he was adopted, he felt lied to and betrayed. Loki has had good intentions but still felt like he never belonged. The god of mischief has the ability to ability to shapeshift into anything he desires.

Loki appears in the original Avengers movie (2012) and is shown in custody. However, when Tony Stark and Ant-Man come back to that same scene in Endgame, attempting to steal the tesseract, it is knocked aside by Hulk and Loki disappears with it.

This branches a new timeline and causes the plot of the Loki series (2021). Through the episodes, you can see that Loki truly does have good intentions and doesn’t want to hurt people. He is an awesome character.

1. Iron Man

My favorite character has to be Iron Man (aka: Tony Stark). Stark is a multi-billionaire and owns a company called Stark Industries. He got kidnapped and forced to make weapons by the evil Ten Rings society (the villains in upcoming MCU film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). He makes a suit (the original Mark I) and escapes his captors.

Over the movies, he fights several villains and his suit gets upgraded many times. Ms. Potts, Tony’s personal assistant, helps him fight some villains and the two eventually get married. Tony steps down as CEO of his company, and his wife takes over.

Pepper Potts and Tony Stark have a child named Morgan after Infinity War. Iron Man later rejoins the Avengers and helps them in the ultimate fight against Thanos.
